THE DGB CLINIC

Dr. Blackburn has a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Montreal, which she completed in 2006.

Her spontaneity and efficiency led her to practice as an emergency physician in Montreal for eight years. In 2009, she started a joint practice in the field of aesthetic medicine, where she puts her attention to detail and vision for beauty to good use. In 2015, Dr. Blackburn decided to focus on private practice in aesthetic medicine and founded Clinique DGB to hone her techniques with the aim of providing a tailored approach. The clinic’s mission is to bring out the best in each patient. Its creed is that every form of beauty is unique.

Clinique DGB is now recognized across Quebec for its focus on personalization and quality, which all team members strive to provide. Always looking for new challenges, Dre Genevieve Blackburn opened her second clinic in Bromont, the heart of the Eastern Townships, in early 2021.

She combines her constant desire to continue learning and improving her techniques to her passion for travelling as she regularly attends various congresses and trainings throughout the world in order to offer an ever complete approach to her patients.

Dr. Blackburn aims to make medical-aesthetic treatments more subtle while being avant-garde in order to ensure a universal image of beauty.

THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE

Passionate about teaching, Dr. Geneviève Blackburn founded the Montreal Institute of Aesthetic Medicine (IMEM) in 2013 with the aim of providing quality training in a field often neglected by traditional medical teaching. She wishes to bring Quebec aesthetic medicine to a high standard of quality and safety, based on the knowledge acquired throughout the world over the years. IMEM offers its “Introduction to Injectables” training to dozens of healthcare professionals including nurses, physicians and surgeons each year. Dr Blackburn strives to transmit her in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology while considering an artistic and human side. Appreciated by her peers for her charisma and straightforward honesty, Dr. Blackburn has shared her expertise with more than 200 healthcare professionals since the establishment of the IMEM Institute. Its introductory course is accredited by the Fédération des Médecins Omnipraticiens du Québec (FMOQ). Dr Blackburn is also a member of the Collège des Médecins du Québec and the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine (CAAM). Along with her clinical practice and teaching through the IMEM Institute, Dr. Blackburn is also a KOL speaker for various events in the medico-aesthetic field.

Dr. Blackburn also offers private development sessions and internships that cover the most advanced concepts and techniques. Her vision for the future is to set up a standardized program that helps health professionals practice Aesthetic Medicine with a vision parallel to her: to obtain personalized and harmonious aesthetic results while having an in-depth knowledge of anatomy for a safe practice, at the cutting edge of the latest advances in Medical Aesthetic, Anti-aging medicine and Facial Rejuvenation.
